“D” Day

Advisory is going to be extended for a few minutes this morning for the distribution of Progress Reports.

Attention spring athletes: tryouts begin Monday, March 21st. All candidates need an updated permission slip and physical on file in the Nurse’s Office.

Join the Chess Club TODAY at 2:45 for the rematch! Stay tuned for more details.

The annual Spirit Assembly will be held this Wednesday. We have a great assembly planned for this year, so get excited and show your school spirit by wearing your class color! Freshmen should wear green, sophomores should wear white, juniors should wear red, and seniors should wear blue. See Mrs. Donlon or a student council member with questions!

There is ELL MCAS Academy TODAY after school. We have 3 sessions left before the exam. Please stop by C315 for MCAS practice and strategies TOMORROW, Thursday and Friday. Our last session will be Monday, March 21st, the day before the test. Come to as many as you can!

Reader’s Club will be held TODAY in the Viewing Room right after school. We will be taking our Yearbook Photo TOMORROW so please be prompt.

Invitations to apply for the National Honor Society have been mailed to eligible juniors. Any questions, please see Ms. Liu in C209.

Attention all juniors: Do you want a free ticket to the Junior Prom? Well the junior that sells the most popcorn will win one! Money and filled out forms must be returned to Ms. Rigano’s room, C316 by this Friday. Any junior that did not receive a form in homeroom can stop by Ms. Rigano’s room to pick one up.

Want to get published? The MHS Mantra has received a grant from the Medford Educational Fund to print a magazine of the best poetry, essays, fiction, photography, and art. Everyone at MHS is invited to submit work. Please drop off all submissions by Thursday, March 24th to Mr. Heinegg in C213 or come talk to him if you have any questions.

Asian Club readers should pick up their ground permits from their Assistant Principal’s Office on Wednesday morning. They should meet in the Main Lobby directly after period 6 before going to the McGlynn.

There is a Chorus Rehearsal TONIGHT at 6:30.

The Anime Club will meet TODAY in V210 at 2:30. Please join us!

SkillsUSA members will be selling raffle tickets during both lunches this week to raise money to attend the state competition. Please visit them to see the great prizes that are available and to grab a flyer for the fundraising event that is being held TOMORROW at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant. The raffle drawing will be held Friday.

There will be a SkillsUSA meeting during 2nd lunch TODAY in room V214. All members with 2nd lunch should attend.

Congratulations to Ronaldson Bellande, Serena Do, Simona Miller, Vanessa Liu, John Mucci Riley, Joseph Farah, Julia Casey, Michelle Nguyen, and Ann Lee for competing in the regional science fair. It was a strong showing for Medford with them bringing home five awards!
