Recently, members of the Medford High School Girls Soccer Coach Hiring Committee met and completed a thorough screening of applicants for the Varsity Head Coach Girls Soccer Coach position.
Five applicants were selected for the first interview, and three were chosen to move onto the second interview, with the Headmaster Paul D’Alleva, Athletic Director Bob Maloney and Assistant Athletic Direct Rachel Perry. For this second round of interviews, each applicant had been requested to prepare and present a 5 year plan for Medford High School girls soccer program.
“We were fortunate to have many great candidates apply for this position. Rocco Cieri was chosen as our new head coach. Rocco has been an educator in the Medford Public Schools for the past 19 years, and has been a passionate soccer coach for many years at many different levels. His coaching experiences combine with his educator background made him a perfect choice for this position, We welcome him aboard,” said Maloney.
