We are proud to announce that David White will be the new boys basketball coach. White replaces Anthony Faradie, who resigned to take a similar position at Methuen High School.
White has been a hardworking assistant for the Mustangs for the last ten years (Freshmen coach 2003-2005; JV coach 2005-2007; and Head assistant 2009-2013).
He was a was a standout player for the Mustangs and graduated in 1999 as the team captain with a three year varsity record of 63-7. His team played in the state tournament at the TD Garden. White went on to Springfield College following his MHS career.
“It’s a great day for Medford High School athletics when you can hire a former MHS standout student athlete who has worked his way up the ladder to become the face of the program,” said Athletic Director Robert Maloney. “David is constantly giving back to the youth of Medford and is the product of the great White family.”
“Medford High School would like to thank Coach Faradie for his tremendous hard work in putting MHS basketball back on the map,” said Maloney. “We wish him the best of luck in his new position at Methuen High School.”
