“D” Day

Amnesty International will meet today in Mrs. Ross’s room C212 at 2:30.

Today after school any student is welcome to join us on a hike though the Middlesex Fells reservation (those woods behind MHS). Meet with Mr. Tuden and Mr. Galusi by 2:30 at the gym locker room for a nature filed afternoon. Wear appropriate clothes and ask either teacher for more details.

The Tibetan Club is selling tickets for a raffle. The prizes include a goodie bag, a head band, scarf and a $20 gift card. If you want to buy a ticket please come after school today to room C313.

Hey faculty! If you are playing in the Eric Ferrazzani Benefit flag football game, t-shirts are now available from Mr. Dempsey in the media department. Teachers playing in the game can ONLY get their shirts from Mr. Dempsey. Students and other faculty, are you team grey with Captain Nascimento or team navy with Captain Drauske? Support your favorite team and by a t-shirt. They are available for $20 in both the main office and Mr. Dempsey’s office. All proceeds from these shirts go to the Eric Ferrazzani Benefit Fund. Buy them now so you can wear them to the game on November 21st.

Seniors…. Do you want a free prom ticket? Then sell pies!! The senior class is selling pies and whichever senior sell the most pies gets a free prom ticket, and the second place winner gets a discounted ticket and enters a raffle for an exciting
surprise! Sell pie to support the senior class and make Ms. LeClair proud.

On Saturday, November 15th, Kaplan will be hosting a Free SAT/ACT Practice Test for MHS students. This test will help students determine if they are likely to score better on the SAT or ACT and give you practice on both tests. The practice test will be held at the Melrose YMCA at 9:00 am. See your guidance counselor for more information. This is a great opportunity for juniors or sophomores.

Get ready- we will be hosting a free mini SAT prep class at Medford High School on November 18th and December 2nd. If you are interested, please sign up with your guidance counselor immediately. First come – first served.

Attention all rockers!! Anyone interested in participating in Medford High’s very own Medford calling, a spring music festival, come to a meeting today in Ms. Fard’s room, A115, at 3:15. All are welcome. See you there!!

The junior vs. senior powder puff game is this Wednesday, November 12th @ Hormel. Tickets are $5.00 or $3.00 if you donate a canned good. Tickets available at the game!!

Any student interested in gymnastics please attend a meeting Friday, November 14th after school in the gymnastics room. No experience needed.

Attention all students. Auditions for this year’s Winter GSA Coffee House will be Tuesday, November 18th and Wednesday, November 19th. Auditions will be held at 2:30 in C201 and all are welcome. If you are a faculty member and want to perform, please e-mail Mr. Skorker. Good Luck!!

Seniors: the guidance department will be sending emails to notify you of upcoming college visits, so please take note. A representative from Suffolk University will be here today to give a presentation. Any student interested in learning more about Suffolk is asked to go to lecture hall 2 during lunch period. Also, on Wednesday a representative from Johnson and Wales will be giving presentation during lunch periods in lecture hall 2 to any interested students. Don’t forget to bring your lunch.

A representative from Navy will be also here on Wednesday outside of Café 2 during lunch periods.

The Pennies for Patients challenge is on!! Help save the lives of children affected by blood cancer and donate any spare change you have. Our goal is to reach $300 by Friday, November 21st. Change boxes are in the Main Office, with your guidance counselors, at the front desk, Assistant Principals offices and the Vocational office. We can do it with your support.

Pashmina scarves are still on sale for only $10. The infinity scarves are going fast. You can buy scarves in the main office while supplies last. Stop by and help support the class of 2015.
