We are pleased to announce that several of our high school students have earned recognition in the prestigious Scholastic Writing Awards, co-sponsored by The Boston Globe and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Categories in the contest include dramatic script, flash fiction, humor, journalism, personal essay/memoir, persuasive writing, poetry, novel writing, science fiction/fantasy, and short story. Judges look for works that best exemplify originality, technical skill and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. Recognition is awarded in three levels of distinction at the regional level: Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention. Work is judged on originality, technical skill, and emergence of a personal voice or vision.
