Tickets for the senior outing will be available TODAY, after school in the corridor outside the Library. Just $25.00 gets you your food, transportation in addition to all kinds of activities, including bumper boats, a driving range, mini golf and Kimball’s world famous ice cream.
The Gay Straight Alliance and Amnesty International clubs will be hosting a fundraiser on September 15th from 6-9pm at John Brewer’s. Proceeds from this night will go to helping both of these groups travel to Washington D. C. and meet with Congress to discuss the International Violence Against Women’s Act.
Attention faculty and staff: TODAY a representative from Horace Mann will be in the Main Office to meet with anyone who is interested.
Driver Education classes begin September 22nd. Application forms are available at the High School and Vocational School Offices or download one here. Completed applications must be submitted directly to Mr. LiCausi in Graphics. Class size is limited.
Any sophomore students interested in running for a class officer position needs to attend a mandatory meeting Wednesday, September 16th in Ms. Khamarji’s room, C323. Hope to see you there!
Attention to any seniors who are considering a run for class office: there is a mandatory meeting after school on Monday in the Library Viewing room. If you do not attend the meeting, then you cannot run.
On Saturday, September 19th, the 3rd annual Medford Strong Motorcycle Run comes to Medford. Mr. Moriarty from Culinary Arts is looking for student volunteers to help food services with set-up and clean-up. Community service hours will be available. See Mr. Moriarty for more information. Do not miss your chance to help out at a fun Medford Strong event!
All Interact-ers helping out with the “World is at Home in Medford” project at this Sunday’s Community Day- please stop by C315 for a flyer in the folder on the doorway. Anyone interested but not signed up- it is not too late; come by for info. Don’t forget to wear your Interact T-shirt, thanks for volunteering, and see you there!
How do you get around Medford? In your car? On foot? Wheelchair? Bicycle? Bus? Skateboard? Show everyone! Break out your iPhone/iPad/Camera and make a short video clip about getting from one place to another in Medford. The clips will be compiled into a short, lighthearted silent film that will debut at the Chevalier Theatre in October. The submission deadline is September 13th.
